When one imagines an elopement, it often conjures up images of a secretive, intimate event, but these two took a slightly different route, their own personal twist. Their Tokyo Shrine Elopement marked the second day of their elopement celebration in Japan, a beautiful contrast to their sensual, private ceremony in Kyoto. This time, family took the center stage.

Meeting up with C&A, it was evident how the two ceremonies complimented each other. The serenity of Kyoto provided an intimate backdrop for the couple’s love. Yet, their second day in Tokyo was all about embracing family and intertwining traditions. Preparations started at the heart of a Tokyo shrine, where C&A were transformed by the intricate and beautiful process of dressing in a traditional Japanese wedding kimono. It’s not just about being at a location; wearing a kimono transcends the experience to a deeper cultural connection.

With the scene set amidst the charm of an old Japanese shrine, the couple, accompanied by their closest family members, stepped into a full Shinto wedding ritual. On a very short notice, our dedicated team ensured that they found the most suitable shrine, took care of all arrangements, and even sourced the perfect genuine Japanese silk wedding kimonos for the ceremony. It was heartwarming to see how grateful the family was, cherishing the chance to be part of such a soulful and unforgettable moment.

The significance of their Tokyo Shrine Elopement was palpable. As with many elopements, there’s an inherent intimacy, but C&A’s choice to celebrate with their family amplified the depth of emotion. Eloping with family can be just as meaningful and intentional as eloping with your partner alone. This was the essence captured during their Tokyo ceremony, the perfect embodiment of merging individual love with family tradition.

Post-ceremony, the shrine’s ancient grounds provided a tranquil backdrop for portraits. Each snapshot encapsulated their joy, love, and the beauty of tradition. As we saw them off to their private family lunch, it was clear that their two-day elopement journey was a perfect blend of intimacy and shared joy.

For couples considering a unique experience that melds tradition, family, and romance, a Tokyo Shrine Elopement might just be the perfect choice and it can be done with as little as just two people.
